The Cassette edition of Two Knocks For Yes is officially released today. It looks like it will probably sell out pretty quickly so don't hang around if you want to grab one. Rough Trade, Bleep, Norman Records currently have low numbers. If you do miss out you can also get the digital download from Bandcamp. It has been a pleasure working with Colin at Castles in Space and Nick Taylor who designed the sleeve. Really excited about the live performance on the 23rd October and I'm in full preparation mode now programming the Buchla and working out the best way to perform quite a complex arrangement of sounds. It is going to be a special evening.

Radiophonic investigation in to the poltergeist phenomenon gets a limited cassette release on Castles in Space, just in time for Halloween. The Buchla 200e Electric Music Box is used to haunting effect providing otherworldly tones, presences and vibrations. The B side features instrumental incidentals for ghost stories. I created this Radiophonic collage for Halloween. I'd really enjoyed this article by Adam Curtis and wanted to do something using excerpts from the archive material featured.
Explore the poltergeist phenomenon with this 30 minute radiophonic collage, featuring recordings from British cases including the famous 'Enfield Haunting'. Electronic oscillations courtesy of the Buchla 200e Electric Music Box; manipulated frequencies courtesy of the Critter & Guitari Kaleidoloop.
I love projects like this that see my two worlds of music and radio collide. I just wish there were more outlets for such work. It would be fantastic to create a radio drama with the same kind of treatment....
The Beam videophonic collage
Using Monorail, Disneyworld and EPCOT archive material and some footage I shot whilst visiting Disney World in Florida last year, I have created a video for the Simonsound single 'The Beam'.
